DYLAN QUIGLEY, LPC
An Independent Contractor With Foundations Family Counseling
I’m Dylan! As your therapist, it is my goal to see you become a better version of yourself. It is my belief that life’s experiences teach us things about the world that may no longer be the most helpful or true today, even if they were true in the past. When we are unable to remain flexible, oftentimes we are left with mistaken thoughts, beliefs, and distortions. All of these can contribute to different thinking errors, behavior problems, or even unresolved life problems. This can leave us struggling to find our way through the daily grind of life and manage all the challenges we experience in the here-and-now. I love to be present while my clients find new ways to navigate their life and change their experiences. I have worked with clients from many walks of life and various needs. My areas of expertise are in Depression, Anxiety, Psychosis, Risk Assessment, Personality Disorders, Men’s Issues, Family Struggles, Trauma, and Substance Abuse. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help you approach and achieve your goals. I like to use humor, challenging questions, a direct approach, and a lighthearted touch. My philosophy is to get to the point of helping you while having fun doing it.
My favorite activities when I’m not at work are to explore and appreciate the outdoors by hiking, skiing, playing basketball and volleyball, spending time with friends and family, as well as traveling to various national parks and countries. I graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts and major in Psychology. I then moved out to Colorado to attend University of Denver and got my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
