ZACH MUNSON, LCSW
An Independent Contractor With Foundations Family Counseling

Zach is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about social and racial justice, exploring and celebrating people’s identities, examining the systems and structures that impact our lives, and growing through connection and relationship. He has worked in the mental health field for the past nine years, primarily in public education, where he supported and advocated for students, families, and colleagues. Zach welcomes clients from all walks of life. Some of his counseling focus areas include working with older adolescents, adults in their 20s and 30s, individuals navigating challenges related to masculinity and femininity, and individuals working in the human services field (educators, medical professionals, first responders, non-profit workers, etc.).

Zach consistently celebrates his clients’ strengths, resilience, and the courage it takes to pursue meaningful change in their lives. Practicing from Person-Centered, Family Systems, and Existential Therapy frameworks, Zach welcomes and embraces all aspects of his clients’ identities. He specializes in supporting clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, family dynamics, and/or relationship difficulties. Through deep acceptance, curiosity, and warmth, Zach collaborates in a transformative process that is always thoughtful and client-centered.

Zach received his MSW (Clinical Track: Children, Youth & Families) from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and his BA in Psychology with a minor in Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Denver.
