Sonia Ferguson
LPC
Find your footing. Reclaim your voice. Move forward with truth and honesty. A steady, collaborative space to process the past, navigate the present, and build a life that feels authentic and self-compassionate.
Sonia creates a warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of both present challenges and past experiences. Her approach is collaborative and empowering—rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. Sonia walks alongside you in the process, offering thoughtful guidance and asking the deeper questions that lead to greater clarity, insight, and meaningful change. Her work supports clients in cultivating a life that feels more authentic, self-compassionate, and aligned.
Sonia works with individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, depression, trauma, grief, and major life stage transitions. She supports clients through experiences such as relationship changes, divorce, relocation, and questions of identity and direction, and brings a thoughtful, affirming approach to her work with LGBTQIA+ individuals and women’s issues. Sonia also integrates EMDR into her work, helping clients process and heal from experiences that continue to impact their present.
Her clients are often seeking more than symptom relief—they want to experience greater meaning, deeper relationships, and a more grounded sense of peace in their lives. Sonia meets them with steadiness and care, helping translate insight into real, sustainable change.
Sonia joined Caring Heart Counseling in 2015 and has also been a faculty member at the University of Colorado Denver since 2016. She currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and self-pay clients.
